Phase VII Dues

The FDP membership dues are assessed on a tier structure based on each member institution’s research expenditures.

  • Tiers are based on 2018 HERD Survey data
  • Organizations, that don't participate in the HERD survey, will be asked to report their total 2018 research expenditures
  • The FDP’s smallest institutions, those with a HERD survey level of less than $25M, will be full members with $0 dues assessment
  • This will be implemented in a two-step process
    • The initial levels in the first 3 years of Phase VII
    • A second level beginning in Year 4, will increase each tier by $500

The FDP membership dues cover the Expanded Clearinghouse fee. Non-member institutions may apply to the clearinghouse to have their institution’s profile published. The fee for this service is $1,000 for years 1 - 3 of Phase VII and $1,500 for years 4 – 6 of Phase VII.
